Now that I'm back in the States working again, I haven't had much time to travel but I have however, still found time to hike every now and then on the weekends.
A local hike that I like to visit often is the Los Gatos trail. Situated just 15-20 minutes away from me, the Los Gatos trail is conveniently located right in the middle of downtown Los Gatos. Parking is easy and finding the trail head is simple as well.
Once you're on the trail, you are then afforded plenty of options to choose from. Whether you want to hike a flat road trail all the way to the reservoir or something slightly more challenging like to the top of the mountain, the choices are there.
Here is a short video that I shot to give you an idea of what the hike is like.
Hiking in Villa Montalvo on the Orchard Trail loop. Located in Saratoga, the hike is incredibly easy that not only doesn't take much of your time but is also very close, making it a convenient choice when you don't really want to spend half the day in the mountains.
